A Life of Serving Others
Jean dedicated her life to serving others. Whether it was taking care of patients while she practiced as a RN at Tampa General Hospital, running her three children around town to their various activities or volunteering at Metropolitan Ministries, she spent countless hours caring for other people. As a longtime volunteer for Metropolitan Ministries, Jean spearheaded the “Sneaker Feet” program, which provided a new pair of shoes to children in need.
After a decade-long battle for her own life, Jean ultimately succumbed to her illness and joined the Lord in Heaven in June of 2009. She is greatly missed by her family, who wishes to keep her spirit alive by helping those less fortunate.
This endowment is in loving memory of Jean Thibault Pallardy—a loving wife, mother, sister and friend who was dedicated to the work and mission of Metropolitan Ministries and the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA. It will help support a partnership between these two charitable organizations where families and kids struggling through financial and other hardships can participate in and benefit from YMCA programs and services.
