Support For All Who Served

The Tampa YMCA is proud to stand with our military service members and veterans offering wellness programs that foster healing, connection and strength. Rooted in our commitment to equity and whole-person health, these programs help veterans thrive physically, mentally and socially. When those who served are supported, our whole community grows stronger.

New members can receive 10% off and a Waived Join Fee if you are or were Active Duty, Veterans and Retired Military Staff. MOI is only for Active-Duty members.

Military Outreach Initiative (MOI) at the Y

Military families can achieve wellness and savings at the Tampa Y! In partnership with the Armed Services YMCA and the Department of Defense, the Military Outreach Initiative is a Federally Funded program that provides memberships to qualifying members of the Armed Services. Qualifying service members and their families are provided a semi-annual membership. Memberships can be renewed if membership usage is met.

How to Start MOI Membership

Members must fill out the MOI application and a Welcome to the Y Waiver. MOI application will need to be sent to their commanding officer and to your Y Welcome Center. Review MOI instructions and FAQs here.
