All of our group exercise classes encourage overall wellness. Aerobics classes include BodyPump weight training, RPM Spinning, CXWORX core workout, BodyCombat, Zumba®, Indoor Cycling, Aqua Fitness and more.
We offer a low-impact Cardio Mix class and full body conditioning Cardio Tone-Up program, along with an intense Cardio Agility option for the serious fitness buff. Cardio Agility workouts include running, jumping, pulling weights, squats, pushups and running hills. Our dance, step, kickboxing and Body Combat program are also ideal for cardio fitness.
Bootcamp at the Tampa Y will challenge you to push yourself harder and faster with each and every class. You’ll improve your fitness level, gain in strength, and exchange your body fat for healthy muscle.

LES MILLS CLASSES
Les Mills™ classes combine music, science and fitness to create some of the best workout programs on the planet. Here at the Tampa Y, we offer four of the most popular Les Mills™ classes, which include: BODYPUMP, BODYCOMBAT & CXWORX.
Motivating, high-energy music and an instructor cheering you on through various terrains will challenge even the most experienced rider. You can control the intensity of your spinning by increasing or decreasing the tension on your bike.
YOGA & PILATES
Measured breathing combined with physical stretching and mental focus provides the basic of all yoga classes, regardless of student ability. Research has shown that the regular practice of yoga can include increased energy levels, lower blood pressure, improved memory, better balance, and a greater sense of calm.
ZUMBA & FAMILY DANCE
You’ll love working out with easy-to-follow moves that combine to create a dynamic fitness program. Zumba® dancers achieve long-term benefits with every exhilarating hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing fun! We also offer Family Dance, which is a toned-down version of regular Zumba that is easier for the whole family to follow along and enjoy.
Our weight loss program is your one-stop-shop for weight loss! It is a 8-week program that includes nutrition education in the classroom, wellness coaching in our fitness center and a “passport” to guide you around the YMCA. During the 8 weeks, you will try new fitness classes, set goals and learn to live a healthier lifestyle.
Classes are offered several times a week for active older adults and focus on enhancing flexibility, strength and overall well-being.
