Because we know that healthy lifestyles are achieved through nurturing the mind, body and spirit, well-being and fitness at the Y include more than just working out. In addition to our physical fitness classes and facilities, we provide educational programs to promote healthier decisions and offer a variety of programs that support physical, intellectual and spiritual strength.
Group Exercise Classes
If you are ready to get fit, the Tampa Y is ready for you! We have a wide variety programs and there is something for everyone at the Y. There is no shortage of opportunity to be active and healthy when you are part of the Y. We offer family classes and programs for all ages including family yoga, Silver Sneakers, water aerobics, HIIT and total body fitness. Whether you want to stretch, dance, swim, lift, cycle or kick, the Tampa YMCA has a fitness class with your name on it. If your preteen or teenager wants to try a new class with you, they can! The Y is dedicated to families and we allow older children to participate with parent supervision. Contact your local Y for details and age restrictions.
Small Group Programs
As a community leader in health and wellness, the Tampa Y provides support, guidance and expertise in helping prevent and/or manage chronic illnesses including diabetes, cancer, arthritis and cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure associated with obesity. Many of our programs are intensive, small-group lessons target lifestyle changes to make a positive and significant difference in your health.
At the Y, we understand that our members have a variety of health and wellness needs and goals. We are proud to offer options for one-on-one programs to ensure we can accommodate your needs and help you meet your goals. The Tampa Y offers personal training, private swim lessons and more.
