Before starting any of our fitness programs at the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA, we encourage members to take advantage of our four free “Fit First” sessions with a trained wellness coach. This is a terrific way to find the perfect fitness solution based on your particular goals. The Fit First sessions will help put you on the right path to the weight loss program and fitness programs to help you reach your goals. These sessions include a customized strength and cardio workout, as well as nutritional guidance to help you become successful.

For those who want aquatics as part of their fitness programs, the Tampa YMCA has 10 outdoor pools and three water parks. Our water parks include slides, play structures, and zero depth entry pools. Pools are generally kept between 80 to 86 degrees. Aquatics programs include everything from swimming to low impact water-aerobics.
