This past Thanksgiving, 165 families got to enjoy a hot delicious meal thanks to The First Tee of Tampa Bay, a Tampa Y program. For the past four years, The First Tee of Tampa Bay has helped families facing hardship during the holidays.   This year, families from the Tampa Housing Authority, Rogers Park Golf Course and Cleveland Elementary School were treated with hand-delivered Publix meals - complete with turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and sweet potato pie.   “Thank you to the main sponsors of the day – Steve Nesbitt, who provided the funds for 125 dinners, and Todd Utter of Preferred Injury Physicians, who joined on for an additional 40,” says Executive Director Ian Baxter. “Special thanks also goes out to volunteer Lionel Ballard for, once again, helping to facilitate this important service.”   The hot meals are sure to warm many hearts this holiday season!
