Discounts
The Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA has Financial Assistance, Corporate and Armed Service discounts available to eligible members. If you are eligible for any of the listed discounts, by registering online, the discount won't be able to be applied. Unfortunately, refunds are not available for discounted memberships or membership promotions if you choose to register online. Visit any of our 16 locations to initiate your membership and determine your eligibility requirements for discounts.

If you decide to enroll online the system will automatically charge the full rate for the join fee and prorate fees for the membership type you select. Once you have registered and visited the branch for the first time to pick up your cards, adjustments will be made to your account for future membership dues once eligibility has been determined.

Joining Fee

The joining fee is a one-time fee as long as you remain an active member of the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA. If you cancel or discontinue your membership for more than 60 days, a joining fee will be charged when you reapply for membership.

Over the next several pages you will have an opportunity to learn more about the Y. Prior to actually setting up your membership you will be required to acknowledge financial responsibility, member conduct guidelines and participation waiver. Check the boxes on these pages and click “Continue” at the bottom of the page. You will then begin to set up your membership.

Data Security and Privacy

The Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA is committed to providing the highest level of security to members. Personal information, payment information and other data transmitted through our system are encrypted using 128-bit SSL encryption technology. Security procedures are tested and reviewed on a regular basis. Information that you provide the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA is used for YMCA business purposes only and not sold to any third parties. You must be 18 years old to enroll in the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA without a parent authorizing the application.

Payment Options

The Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA offers 4 methods of payment described below. Only one form of payment per membership is allowed.

Monthly Dues Payment

1.    Monthly Checking Bank Draft or Credit Card Draft 
By using a monthly automatic draft, payment will be electronically deducted from your checking or credit card account on an ongoing, monthly basis on the 1st or 20th. This automated method of payment may also be used to make retail and other service purchases in the branch. When you join online your membership will be drafted by credit card. When you visit the branch for orientation and to pick up your cards, if you prefer check draft you can make the change at that time. Those electing a checking account draft will be asked to complete the required bank draft authorization form and provide a voided check.

**Monthly payment option is only available through automatic draft from credit card or EFT. Payments cannot be taken monthly over the counter.

2.    Annual, Semi-Annual or Quarterly Full Payment and Prorate Month
You may pay your annual, semi-annual or quarterly membership dues for the entire year using cash, check or credit card and will be billed on the 1^st of the month**. Membership activated online must be paid for with a credit card. Upon you initial membership start up there will be a prorate amount for the day your sign up through the last day of the current month. Your 3, 6 or 12 month membership will begin on the 1^st of the following month. When you complete your 1^st year your renewal amount will only be for a straight 3, 6 or 12 month period.

**20^th draft day is not an option for annual, semi-annual or quarterly membership billing cycles.

Financial Responsibility

The joining fee is non-refundable. Any discrepancies regarding member cancellation must be reported to the Central Business Office within 60 days of the member’s original written request to cancel. Rights and Responsibilities

I understand that the YMCA has the sole authority to terminate any membership with or without notice to ensure the safety and comfort of the general membership. The Tampa Metropolitan YMCA reserves the right to revoke any membership. The protection of our members and guests participating in our programs and/or using our facilities is of paramount interest of the Tampa Metropolitan YMCA. The association reserves the right to deny access to membership to any person who has been accused or convicted of any crime involving sexual abuse or is a registered sex offender.understand and accept the conditions of the Membership Participation Policies.
