Become a Member - Join Online
Membership is just the beginning of belonging.
If you decide to enroll online the system will automatically charge the full rate for the join fee and prorate fees for the membership type you select. Once you have registered and visited the branch for the first time to pick up your cards, adjustments will be made to your account for future membership dues once eligibility has been determined.
Membership Types
Joining FeeThe joining fee is a one-time fee as long as you remain an active member of the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA. If you cancel or discontinue your membership for more than 60 days, a joining fee will be charged when you reapply for membership.

Over the next several pages you will have an opportunity to learn more about the Y. Prior to actually setting up your membership you will be required to acknowledge financial responsibility, member conduct guidelines and participation waiver. Check the boxes on these pages and click “Continue” at the bottom of the page. You will then begin to set up your membership. Personal information, payment information and other data transmitted through our system are encrypted using 128-bit SSL encryption technology. Security procedures are tested and reviewed on a regular basis. Information that you provide the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA is used for YMCA business purposes only and not sold to any third parties. You must be 18 years old to enroll in the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA without a parent authorizing the application.
Payment OptionsThe Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA offers 4 methods of payment described below. Only one form of payment per membership is allowed. Monthly Dues Payment
1. Monthly Checking Bank Draft or Credit Card Draft **Monthly payment option is only available through automatic draft from credit card or EFT. Payments cannot be taken monthly over the counter. Sign off for bank draft agreement
2. Annual, Semi-Annual or Quarterly Full Payment and Prorate Month **20th draft day is not an option for annual, semi-annual or quarterly membership billing cycles. Financial Responsibility The joining fee is non-refundable. Any discrepancies regarding member cancellation must be reported to the Central Business Office within 60 days of the member’s original written request to cancel. Rights and Responsibilities I understand that the YMCA has the sole authority to terminate any membership with or without notice to ensure the safety and comfort of the general membership. The Tampa Metropolitan YMCA reserves the right to revoke any membership. The protection of our members and guests participating in our programs and/or using our facilities is of paramount interest of the Tampa Metropolitan YMCA.
