ADULT HEALTHY LIVING PROGRAMS
  • Carol Kennedy Aquatic Center

Developed by jtemplate

At the Y, a supportive community is a big part of wellness. At every age and every level of activity, you’ll find people just like you looking to live a little bit healthier.

Personal Training

Your time in the Wellness Center is valuable. Maximize your results with a personal trainer! For a very reasonable price, you’ll work with a dedicated trainer to build strength, increase cardiovascular capacity, and improve flexibility. For more information, see the Welcome Center.

YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program

Are you at risk for developing pre-diabetes? Our Diabetes Prevention Program can help you reduce your risk for type 2 diabetes and gain tools for healthy living. New session begins in April. Please contact Mo Chiodini for more information at 813.924.7528.

LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA

This is a free 12-week physical activity and well-being program designed to help adult cancer survivors achieve their holistic health goals. Participants work with Y staff trained in supportive cancer care to achieve their goals such as building muscle mass and strength; increasing flexibility and endurance; and improving confidence and self-esteem. By focusing on the whole person and not the disease, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA helps people move beyond cancer in spirit, mind and body. Contact Cindy Gutowski for more information at 813-757-6677.

Go the Distance Running Group

Join us for a fun 3-mile group run on Tuesday mornings (6am) & Thursday evenings (6pm). Meet at the Y front doors. Free program for members & nonmembers.
Days/Times: Tuesdays 6am & Thursdays at 6pm

Group Exercise

We offer a wide variety of group exercise and water aerobics classes at no cost to Facility Members. Whether you’re starting exercise for the first time or just want to get out of a workout rut, group classes are a great way to challenge yourself, learn something new, and make new friends.
Our new Max Results Room is open and running! We’ve added more classes to better serve you. New schedules are posted at the beginning of each month on our website, www.tampaymca.org, and at the Welcome Center. They are also located on our mobile app, available for both iPhone and Droid smartphones. Search “Tampa YMCA” and choose “Plant City Family YMCA” as YOUR branch location!
Water In Motion and CXWORX classes are in full swing!
