No Goal is Too Big for the Y

Anthony wants nothing more than to be on the SWAT team for a local law enforcement agency. He’s been training for the past few years and made a major leap forward while strength training at the Northwest Hillsborough Family YMCA. That’s where someone recommended he try High Energy Athletic Training (H.E.A.T.) with Monika Cassidy, Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. H.E.A.T. is a high-energy cardio and strength class using athletic drills that require little or no use of weights as body weight is the main form of resistance. “Monika expressed a desire to help me reach my goal,” says Anthony. “During class, she would correct my form and pushed me past my limits.”


Anthony says he felt more ready than ever for SWAT tryouts. “I was in attendance and I am happy to say that I passed the physical portion of the selection process,” shares Anthony. “I can say that without my God, my family and my local YMCA, I would not have made it this far.”
