YMCA programs are available for every interest, age, and ability level at all of our facilities. We're committed to offering quality programs at a reasonable price, in a safe and supportive setting that emphasizes our core character values of caring, honesty, responsibility, respect, and faith. Ready to register? 

After School
The Tampa YMCA provides high-quality, affordable Success After School programs at 32 school sites and 4 YMCA branches. Our structured, caring environment includes academic enrichment, structured play, physical activity, and fun! Transportation is included and most programs are available until 6:30pm Monday-Friday. Aquatics
As the largest provider of swim lessons in the country, we know our stuff. The Tampa YMCA offers group swim lessons for ages 6 months to adult, as well as private lessons, swim teams, swim clubs, Masters Swim, and more.
Dance
YMCA dance programs are the perfect way to introduce your toddler, youth or teen to a lifelong appreciation of dance through ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and preschool movement classes in a relaxed setting. For the adults, we've got great salsa, hip hop, swing and ballroom dancing classes too.

Day Camp
Summer wouldn't be summer without the YMCA! Our classic day programs offer youth and teens a wide range of activities to keep them happy and active all summer long. Or choose from specialty programs including fine arts, cooking, sports and more to help your child explore a specific interest. Programs available at 10 Tampa YMCA family branches, plus our outdoor adventure camp in Riverview and The First Tee Golf Program.

Golf
The First Tee of Tampa Bay youth golf programs promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf. Golf is not only a game you can play for a lifetime, it is a great vehicle for teaching kids life skills such as Dealing with Frustration, Goal Setting and Making Good Decisions. Gymnastics
From preschool tumbling to competitive gymnastics teams, the Tampa YMCA is the place for your child to develop gymnastics skills while building character and teamwork.

Martial Arts
Karate, tae kwon do, judo, tai chi and more--the YMCA offers a range of martial arts classes that help develop discipline, self control, and strength for youth and adults alike. Judo classes are even offered FREE to members at several locations!

Preschool
Toddlers and preschoolers will love the Tampa YMCA's movement, music and tumbling classes to keep little bodies active and encourage learning and sharing. And of course, swim lessons are also available for children ages 6 months and up.

Special Needs
The Tampa YMCA is committed to developing strength in spirit, mind and body for all--regardless of physical or mental challenges. Our Adaptive movement, gymnastics, sports, swimming and summer programs help children and adults of all abilities to benefit from physical activity and group interaction.

Sports
Basketball and racquetball…we invented them at the YMCA. Since 1889 we've been offering high-quality athletics for youth and adults, focused on building not only sports skills but also character values and teamwork. Basketball, t-ball, flag football, cheerleading, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, and other team sports are available yearround at 10 YMCA family branches and several satellite sites. Wanna play?

Leaders Club
If you're a teen leader in your school or community, we want you! YMCA Leaders Club is the place for teens age 13-17 to develop their leadership skills, athletic abilities, and volunteer experience. Clubs meet at YMCAs and other community locations. Leaders Club participants also have the opportunity to earn a spot at the Blue Ridge Leaders' School in Blue Ridge, North Carolina next summer.

Teen Exercise
Although teens are welcome to use YMCA Wellness Centers and attend all group exercise classes, we also offer great exercise classes just for teens at some locations. Featuring cool music and moves, it's a great way to sweat and have fun. Group personal training and Personal Exercise Programs are also available for teens.

Teen Recreation
Hanging out at the YMCA is cooler than ever! Several Tampa Y family branches now offer dedicated teen rooms with comfortable space to hang out, make new friends, play games, and have fun.

Golf
The First Tee of Tampa Bay youth golf programs promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf. Family Social Events
YMCAs offer a variety of FREE members-only and community social events such as holiday parties, health fairs, pool parties, and more. To find out what's happening at your Y, select Find Your Y above for the latest news and events!

Group Exercise
Make exercise a family affair! Many of our group exercise classes are now "family friendly" and open to parents and children to enjoy together. Zumba, yoga, hip hop, and many other fun classes will get the entire family moving and shaking. To see which classes are family friendly, select Find Your Y above, then click Schedules and look for the notation indicating the class is open to all ages.

Wellness Center
Unlike many other exercise centers, the YMCA's Wellness Center areas are open to children ages 10 and up when accompanied by a parent or guardian. All children under age 16 must complete a Wellness Orientation prior to using the Wellness Center. This free class includes safety information, proper use of machines, benefits of exercise and healthy eating, and more. To sign up, see a member of the Wellness Center staff.

PlayCenter
Get a workout while your kids age 7 and under have a ball in the PlayCenter. All of our YMCA family branches offer free child watch while you exercise for up to 2 hours (you must remain in the facility while your child is in the PlayCenter). Selected YMCAs also have youth fitness centers, teen centers, and play areas for children 8 and up.

Parent / Child Classes
YMCAs offer parent / child swim lessons for children ages 6 to 36 months. Many facilities also offer toddler movement, yoga, tumbling and music classes to help you and your little one enjoy time together. To see details of programs offered at your facility, select Find Your Y above.

Looking for an exercise class that improves your strength, cardiovascular capacity, and endurance while taking it easy on your joints? If so, water exercise is for you. Choose from deep water, water walking, aerobics, and other water exercise classes at many locations. The best part? Our heated pools are a comfortable 84 degrees year round.

Wellness Center
Tampa YMCA Wellness Centers are available at all 10 family branches and 4 express wellness center facilities. Our centers offer a wide range of state of the art cardio equipment, including elliptical trainers, treadmills, stair climbers, bikes, rowing machines, and more. Want to build muscle? We've got you covered with Nautilus and FreeMotion machines, free weights, and dumbbells. Our friendly Wellness Center staff is always available to show you how to use a machine or teach you some new moves.

Social Activities and Outings
Rev up your social life with luncheons, day trips, activities and parties that will keep you hopping! Most are free to members or available at a small fee. We also have a range of volunteer opportunities that provide meaningful opportunities for you to get involved in your community.
