 "Changing the Odds" Community Support Campaign
As a non-profit cause-driven organization, the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA raises funds annually through our annual giving to provide financial assistance to those who might not otherwise be able to afford the cost of membership and programs.
The Tampa YMCA relies on the generosity of donors to keeps its programs effective and affordable as well as to create new programs in response to community identified needs. The Tampa YMCA is the largest provider of family health, youth sports, summer camp, and licensed child care in Hillsborough County. Many of these programs would not be possible were it not for the contributions from supporters like you.
In 2012, the Tampa YMCA provided more than $7,913,220 in financial assistance and subsidies to more than 40,800 children, teens, families, and individuals so that they could enjoy memberships at their local Y branches and participate in a myriad of sports, wellness, and other activities. Including additional financial assistance to specific groups, as well as free community programs and use of our facilities by community and nonprofit groups.

Matching Gift Programs
Many employers and organizations offer matching gifts. Be sure to inquire with your employer whether you can double the impact of your gift with a match from your company or organization.

Throughout the year, the Tampa YMCA hosts events ranging from banquets to thank donors and honor special volunteers to party-like galas and golf tournaments to raise money for the "Changing the Odds" Annual Community Support Campaign.
Honors and Memorials
Gifts to the Tampa YMCA in honor or memory of loved ones provide a living remembrance for generations to come. Honorary gifts may be given to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, holidays, and other special occasions. Memorial gifts may also be given as a way to remember someone special.

Heritage Society - Planned Gifts: The Tampa YMCA encourages planned gifts as a primary means of building strong endowment resources. Your gift can help create a lasting legacy and will touch lives through YMCA programs for generations to come. Individuals who make a commitment to ensure the future of the Tampa YMCA by making a bequest are honored as Heritage Society members.
