My name is Chevas and I’ve been a Teen Leaders’ Club participant for over five years.  My mom tells me she is proud of the responsible young man I’ve become.  In turn, I credit Leaders’ Club for being such a formative part of my life.

I’ve met several of my best friends through Teen Leaders’ Club.  We have volunteered our time helping people in our community . . . organizing food and toy drives and cleaning up the homes of people who are about to be evicted because of code violations.

Through Leaders’ Club, I have learned values critical to growing up to be a successful person . . . honesty, respect, and peaceful conflict resolution.  So far, they’ve carried me far.  Right now, I work as an afterschool counselor at the Y and hope to have a career here in the future.  Thank you for giving me a chance to be a leader!
