Summer camps at the Y focus on nurturing the potential of children and helping them grow in spirit, mind and body. We encourage fun and friendship and provide the opportunity for young people to build self-esteem, develop interpersonal skills and make lasting memories. Summer camp also provides kids with the things they need to succeed in school by providing engaging, hands-on education-based activities that help kids avoid summer learning loss.Plus, our highly qualified staff receive over 40 hours of preparation prior to interacting with campers and are CPR certified.

Rave reviews from last year’s camp parents.

Alexandra (3rd grader attended summer camp at Bob Sierra YMCA)

“I just want to be a normal kid and that’s how they treat me at the YMCA. (The counselors) are so nice to us. My favorite days were in day camp this summer. I had the most fun ever and made so many friends.”

Kristen (autistic son went to Camp Cristina)

“Camp Cristina just took him under their wing and they just take care of him and make sure he’s not looked at any different. He just loves it here! They are so great with him. They help him with his socialization skills. They treat him like any other child and that’s very important to me.”

LaTasha (6-year-old son attended summer camp with CCS)

“Through play, he got to learn. The playing element was huge for him; educational and character-building. I’ve seen a definite improvement in him. It’s so wonderful just to see him learn and grow and retain it.”
